About the Author

C. A. Townsend has fostered a passion for storytelling since elementary school, when she wrote two chapters of a story about sword-wielding panthers. (Is it any surprise that her greatest literary influences at the time were Brian Jacques and J.R.R. Tolkien?)

After earning her B.A. in English Literature from Bryan College in 2013, she worked in the Bryan College Advancement Department for six years in various roles, including Assistant Director of Marketing, Advancement Writer, and Head Editor of the Bryan Life alumni magazine. All the while, her love of quality stories continued to grow.

Nowadays, she writes adult fantasy that blends psychological depth with moral complexity, exploring themes of corruption, redemption, sacrifice, and learning to choose hope in the midst of darkness.

At times, she also dabbles in (admittedly mediocre) poetry and artwork. Usually, her cats don’t mind. Sometimes, they do. Maybe they’re still waiting on that warrior panther book…
